As always we’re keeping a close eye on your feedback, but did you know that your comments could influence our next dated range? Our product development team are always looking to make improvements and introduce new concepts, to better suit the lives of you – the ultimate Busy B’s! It’s from your feedback that lead to the creation of the Perfect Planner – the newest addition to our dated collection. Here we’ll walk you through the development of our Contemporary Collection, how your feedback plays a vital part in the process, and how the Perfect Planner came to life.
We’re all ears
Market research is a big part of our design process at Busy B. After listening to your initial feedback and conducting further surveys, we identified a need for a more stylish collection, featuring gorgeous colours, gold foiling and a more premium feel to it. The focus was to be on creating “on-the-go” products to appeal to the busy but fashionable among you.
Choosing colours and patterns
With this research in mind, our designers set to work gathering ideas from trend analysis and inspiration trips. Focusing on modern looks and steering away from linear patterns, they developed three different mood boards: in pastel, a blush/navy/grey combination, and our final chosen pallet – jewelled colours.
Following rounds of feedback from Kerri B and the team, the print and colours were then applied to existing products and new concepts, and “voila” the Contemporary Collection was born!
Creating the Perfect Planner
The Contemporary colour pallet was applied to dated products too. Consumer research had highlighted a demand for a new diary concept that offered a little bit of luxury, as well as more colourful pages – fitting perfectly with the jewelled colour pallet of the Contemporary Collection. We know how much our customers love our “Oh so Clever” features, and this diary was created with no exceptions. It’s been packed full to give you everything you need in a diary. Stickers in the back are almost too pretty to use (don’t worry, if you run out, refills are available!) and the handy removable notepad is ideal for making lists whilst on-the-go. With all of its added features and its gorgeous faux leather and gold foiled cover, it’s the “ta dah” planner that ticks all of the boxes, and a firm favourite of ours within the Contemporary Collection.
