BE FESTIVAL READY | OUR TOP TIPS

Our home city Edinburgh is buzzing this month with performers and festival-goers from all over the world – the question is how to fit everything in! We just love the month-to-view page in the Perfect Planner, keeping us up to date so we can make the most of the festival. Read some of our top tips for Edinburgh festival planning, and watch how to make the most of all the Perfect Planner’s clever features in the video below…

Plan, plan, plan!
With over a thousand shows, it’s vital to plan out your festival experience. Be ambitious but realistic! Plan ahead the shows that you absolutely must see, with enough time to be spontaneous and enjoy the free shows that The Fringe as to offer. We used our Perfect Planner to organise our Festival experience. With a month-to-view page, it’s the perfect Fringe Festival companion.

Prepare for all weathers
A true Scot never leaves the house without an umbrella, and neither should you! Our Scottish Summers can be rather unpredictable so it’s best to prepare for all weather. One minute it can be bright sunshine. Next minute, it’s the heaviest rain you’ve ever seen.
Raincoat? Check! Sunglasses? Check! Umbrella? Check!

Talk to the locals
Scottish people are the friendliest around, so talk to us! If you’re lost or looking for the best coffee spot in town to take a much-needed breather, we’d be happy to help you!

Fuel up
It’s super important not to burn out during your Fringe Festival experience, so take time to stop and fuel up. Soak up the Scottish culture and try some Haggis, a tattie scone or some Irn Bru!

Enjoy Edinburgh!
While you want to see and do everything that the Fringe Festival has to offer, don’t forget to see the other, tranquil side of Edinburgh. Get out for the hustle and bustle and enjoy the beauty of the City!. Take a wander up Arthur’s Seat for some fantastic views, spend an afternoon at the Royal Botanic Gardens, or enjoy our many Museums for some much needed quiet time.
