Back to School Guide

It’s that time of year again – back to school! If you’re heading back to the classroom, whether it be at school, college or university, now is the perfect time to get organised. Here are some tips to help you thrive this academic year and achieve all your goals.

Create a timetable

The best way to stay on top of your game this school year is to establish a productive routine and create a weekly/monthly timetable. You can easily keep track of any classes, deadlines, events etc. and have it all in one place. They’re also great for any parents that want to keep up with their children’s schedules. The best way to do this is by using genius organisers like our Desk Pads, Calendars and Diaries. They have brilliant features like monthly pockets, multi schedules and fun stickers. Don’t forget to fit in some study time!

Stay on top of deadlines/studying

Once you’ve noted down everything you need to remember and want to achieve, it’s important that you stick to it. Don’t let deadlines and exams go forgotten until the last minute, this will only cause you stress and could potentially affect your final results! Try your best to stay on top of your work by doing it little by little each week; you’ll thank yourself for it later.

Prepare your stationery

We may be biased, but there is nothing like new stationery to get you excited about going back to school. Picking out new notebooks, pens and organisers is our favourite back to school task. We have brilliant mid-year products that run through the whole school year, as well as our brand new 2023 products if you prefer a fresh start. We love our Mid-year weekly calendar, with space for up to five schedules, stickers and tear-off lists plus a pen and pocket, to help you stay on top of everything. Also, our fabulous Busy Life notebooks and diaries have just launched in brand new colours. Brilliant!

Make new friends

A new school year can be nerve-wracking, especially if you are moving on to college or university etc. It is important to remember that everyone is in the same position and most likely just as nervous as you are! Being open to making new friends and being kind to everyone is a great way to start your year, and potentially make friends for life. Try joining clubs, sports teams or societies to meet people who have similar interests to you and get you out of your comfort zone.

Ask for help

If you feel like you’re struggling with anything, be it something in your class, finding your way around the building or anything else, don’t be afraid to ask for help from your teachers, lecturers or tutors. They’re there to help and make sure you feel comfortable.

And lastly… have fun!

School years go by quicker than we realise. Try not to put too much pressure on yourself and enjoy this time in your life before it’s gone. Meet new people, discover new things and always try your best.
