EASTER DELIVERY DELAYS

BEHIND THE SCENES WITH AMY FROM BUSY B

Behind the Scenes with Amy – our Account Manager!

Welcome to the next blog from the Behind the Scenes series. This time we’re looking in to a day-in-the-life of Amy!

What is your name?
Amy Newcombe

What is your job title?
Account Manager

What is a day in the life of an Account Manager like?
My day can be pretty varied but I always start by checking my emails and preparing a “to do” list of things I need to action. My day is often busy and with lots of deadlines so it’s crucial I’m organised and stay on top of things. Once I’ve gone through my emails I will then check to see if any orders or invoices need to be raised and get any paperwork out of the way. I will often come into emails from customers with new orders and product queries. My main role at Busy B is to liaise with all our key accounts and to ensure they are kept up-to-date with our new ranges. The buyers I deal with are extremely busy so it’s my job to make their life easier and to ensure they have any samples and pricing they need, ahead of their sign offs. I will usually meet with the buyers from our key accounts 2-3 times a year which means I have to travel with work.

I’m also responsible for developing new key accounts, looking at key account strategies and providing sales reports which are shown at the monthly management meeting I attend.

Throughout the year, I can also be found on our stand at trade shows such as the Spring Fair, London Stationery Show & Harrogate Home & Gift!

What item is at the top of your to do list today?
I’m working on a brief that has a deadline of tomorrow, so I’m finalising this up before it’s sent out.

What is your favourite Busy B product and why?
Out of all the ranges I particularly love the Fashion Range with all the gold foiling. That being said, I think my favourite product is the Travel Wallet. Not only does it keep my passport, tickets and documents safe, it’s also super stylish! I always carry it with me when travelling with work.

If you were an item of stationery what would you be?
I think I would have to be an organiser as I love being organised and keeping on top of things. Plus, I’m always writing things down, whether it’s “to do” lists or new blog ideas for my own fitness blog.
